Sunday Roast Lunch in North Devon with Best walks

The Best Sunday Lunch in North Devon are those that are paired with a beautiful walk through nature ( In my humble opinion )

Being British we just love our traditions, As much as we love the big feed we also love to feel like the belly full of food has been earned, often through an enjoyable stroll.

The Cottage Inn is a North Devon pub near to Lynton, we serve traditionally cooked Sunday roast Lunch and are positioned within some of the best walking routes in the country.

We believe a great roast starts with great ingredients, Local butcher Ivan Clarke supplies us with the very best meats and much of our veg is from a local allotment with the rest being picked by Arthur Davids from the markets daily.

The Cottage Inn Sunday Roast Lunch is honest, completely home cooked using traditional techniques, and plentiful.

Of course there is always a vegan option available also.

Something to remember is that we just love local beer, for this reason you can always enjoy a beer from the likes of Otter Brewery or Exmoor Ales.

The Cottage Inn has a car park for those not fancying a walk but many decide to park elsewhere and use us as a destination to walk towards for a meal, we are deeply set within nature, every approach is beautiful.

Best Sunday afternoon walk for a Roast Lunch in North Devon ?

Well its certainly up there with the best, If all walkers are fit and can handle uneven terrain the walk below is short but very sweet, remember this is a recommendation only so take your map and do research.

Park in Barbrook and access the starting point as shown in the interactive map above.

Walk the 1.1km along the riverside path between Barbrook and The Cottage Inn, this path is one of North Devons best kept secrets, it has rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, nature and so much more, the best part is you get to walk it twice, once to earn your Sunday roast Lunch and again after to work some off. If you have a pooch then bring it along, the Cottage Inn is dog friendly so once you get home all that is left to do is have a nice late Sunday afternoon nap in front of the TV.
